UTMT – Underneath the Mango Tree

The UTMT – Underneath the Mango Tree sits enthroned on an elevated palm grove, surrounded by coconut palms and some mango trees, to which the boutique Ayurveda Hotel owes its name. Located about two to three hours by car from Colombo Airport on the southern tip of Sri Lanka in Dickwella, the boutique Ayurveda Hotel welcomes you with a unique interpretation of Sinhalese architecture combined with modern design using local architecture and materials.

Room (about 35sqm)
The 13 air-conditioned teak-paneled bedrooms have spacious bathrooms with bath, shower and outdoor shower overlooking the sea, palm trees or the light blue sky. Each room has its own balcony and offers the following amenities: free Wi-Fi, Internet radio with iPhone dock, telephone, hairdryer and bath amenities, drinking water and a free iPad on request.

Some rooms feature special luxuries as their own private pool with patio, direct garden access or views of the Indian Ocean.

There are a total of 8 rooms overlooking the garden (4 with pool) and 5 with sea views (1 with pool).

Villas (about 65 square meters) – 1 or 2 bedrooms
The 7 villas offer – in addition to the facilities of the rooms – a living area with dining table and a kitchen in the one-bedroom villas. Some have a terrace instead of the balcony, but the biggest highlight is a private pool and direct access to the garden.

There are 4 villas overlooking the garden and 3 villas with sea views.

Suite (about 100 square meters)
The spacious 2-bedroom suite is located on the 1st floor and features 1 terrace and 1 balcony, as well as views of the Indian Ocean. Here, in addition to the facilities of the rooms, there is a living room with kitchen and dining and seating area.

Grand Villa (about 200 sqm)
This ultimate retreat is a holiday home with 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, 3 separate toilets, 2 spacious bathrooms, one with a bath, shower and outdoor shower overlooking the light blue sky, the other with a shower. Another outdoor shower is accessible from the rooms. The living room has a kitchen and a dining and seating area. Of course, the Grand Villa also has its own pool and a large terrace. A special treat is the view of the Indian Ocean.
