Specialised in Ayurveda the resort is headed by chief physician Dr. Wickramaratne, Specialist in Applied Life Energy and Dr. Ratiyala, Ayurvedic Physician. During your first examination a detailed medical history will be established. The physician will determine your constitutional type and which of your Doshas are out of balance. The results define your treatments such as massages, Ayurvedic treatments as well as your medicine and your diet plan. The Ayurvedic treatments include all elements of the classical Panchakarma: revitalisation, regeneration, rejuvenation, stress reduction, weight reduction, and strengthening of the immune system. Approximately 4 to 5 treatments are performed daily. Specially selected oils and herbs tailored to your constitution by a pharmacist and under the guidance of your doctor will be used. Yoga and meditation complement your treatment plan. The doctors and therapists have many years of experience in practicing traditional Ayurveda. Treatment plan, diet and dosage of Ayurvedic remedies are an expression of balance between traditional knowledge and contemporary needs.

At the Heritance Ayurveda Maha Gedara, the food is served buffet-style according to the different constitutional types. Your meal plan will be compiled by the medical team regarding your constitutional type.
